Burkina Faso has been plunged into national mourning following the repatriation of the remains of social media influencer Alain Christophe Traoré, widely known as Alino Faso, from Côte d’Ivoire. Traoré, a vocal supporter of Burkina Faso’s ruling junta, was found dead in his cell at the Dakar gendarmerie school in Abidjan in late July.
