The All Progressives Congress (APC) has released the official timetable and schedule of activities for the 2026 governorship election in Osun State, Nigeria. According to the party’s National Organising Secretary, Sulaiman Argungu, the process will commence with a notice of election to the state chapter on 3 October 2025. This will be followed by an update of the membership register across the state between 20 and 31 October 2025. To participate in the exercise, members must have their names in the register and be financially up‑to‑date with their dues for at least one year up to February 2025.
The sale of Expression of Interest (EOI) and Nomination Forms will begin on 12 November 2025, with a deadline for submission of completed forms on 1 December 2025. The APC has announced concessions for women, youths, and persons with disabilities, including discounted or free forms for eligible candidates. The fee structure for the Osun governorship contest has been disclosed: the EOI Form costs N10 million, the Nomination Form costs N40 million, totaling N50 million, while the Delegate Form will cost N5,000. All forms will be available for purchase at the APC Directorate of Organization in Abuja.
The party has outlined a series of activities, including the screening of aspirants, publication of results, appeal hearings, and the conduct of the governorship primary election. A congress will be held to ratify the primary result in line with the 2022 Electoral Act (as amended). The APC emphasized that only financial members with at least three months of active membership before the congress will be eligible to participate in the delegate election process.
The release of the timetable marks a significant step in the preparations for the 2026 governorship election in Osun State.
