The Niger State chapter of the National Hydro‑electric Power Producing Areas Development Commission (N‑HYPPADEC) has elected a new set of executives to lead the organization for the next four years. This transition aims to revitalize and reposition the chapter, setting a benchmark for other HYPPADEC member states.
Engineer Danjuma Umar will serve as Chairman, with Shehu Musa Daja as Vice Chairman, Samuel Wakili as Secretary General, Attahiru Bawa Issa as Treasurer, and Iliyasu Abdullahi Dada as Organizing Secretary. Additional officers include Juliet Haruna (Financial Secretary), Abdullahi Wakili (Public Relations Officer), Musa Abdullahi Anaruwa (Auditor General), Baba Yakubu Abbas (Legal Adviser), Hauwa Muhammed (Director of Women Mobilization), and Mohammed Abdullah Alkali (Assistant Secretary).
In his acceptance speech, Chairman Engineer Danjuma Umar pledged to work toward greatness and to reposition the organization, urging full support from members to enhance growth and development. Public Relations Officer Abdullahi Wakili noted that the new executives are tasked with steering the organization to greater heights.
The election is expected to introduce fresh ideas and strategies to the Niger State chapter, contributing to the overall development of the N‑HYPPADEC movement. As a vital body for hydro‑electric power development in Nigeria, N‑HYPPADEC’s renewed leadership will collaborate with members, government agencies, and other stakeholders to achieve its objectives. The success of the new team will depend on their ability to work together, mobilize member support, and devise effective strategies to address organizational challenges, ultimately advancing hydro‑electric power production across the region.
