CDCFIB Recruitment Scam Alert Issued to Applicants

The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has issued a warning to applicants in its ongoing recruitment exercise, cautioning them against fraudulent activities. In a statement released on its official social media handle, the Board reminded Nigerians that the recruitment process is transparent, free, and straightforward.

According to the statement, signed by Okeh Juliet, Head of Press and Public Relations, the Board emphasized that no applicant will be required to pay any fee or disclose personal banking information at any stage of the recruitment. The statement clearly outlined that applicants will not be asked to make any financial contribution or disclose sensitive banking details to advance in the recruitment process.

The CDCFIB assured applicants that the next stage of the recruitment exercise will be announced soon, advising them to rely solely on official CDCFIB communication channels for authentic updates and notifications. This move aims to prevent applicants from falling prey to fraudsters who may demand money in exchange for employment.

The Board reaffirmed its commitment to fairness, integrity, and accountability in the recruitment process, stating that its mission is to attract the best-qualified candidates for the nation’s paramilitary services. To ensure the recruitment process remains transparent, the CDCFIB urged candidates to report any suspicious activities or payment demands to the nearest security agency for prompt action.

The warning comes as the CDCFIB continues its efforts to recruit suitable candidates for various positions within the civil defence, correctional, fire, and immigration services. With the recruitment process underway, the Board’s emphasis on transparency and accountability serves as a reminder to applicants to remain vigilant and cautious of fraudulent activities. By relying on official communication channels and reporting suspicious activities, applicants can help ensure a fair and successful recruitment process.
