Tinubu Admin To Showcase Education Achievements In FCT

Nigeria’s Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has unveiled plans to dedicate 20 days to highlighting the achievements of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration in the education sector within the territory. The announcement was made during the commissioning of newly provided engineering infrastructure in Wuye District, Abuja.

The initiative aims to showcase the level of development achieved under President Tinubu’s leadership, particularly to critics on social media. According to Minister Wike, the goal is to demonstrate the administration’s progress in the education sector, beyond its focus on infrastructure development. “We will take 20 days to show Nigerians, to show social media critics what we have done in the education sector,” he stated.

The Tinubu administration has been working to improve education in the Federal Capital Territory, in addition to its efforts to develop roads and bridges. Minister Wike emphasized that the administration’s focus extends beyond infrastructure, with significant progress being made in the education sector. After the 20-day showcase, there will be a brief pause before the focus shifts entirely to education.

Minister Wike has instructed the Chief of Staff to prepare for the upcoming events, noting that the 20-day period will be followed by a short break. The education sector is expected to receive increased attention thereafter. The move is seen as an effort to promote transparency and accountability, as the administration seeks to demonstrate its commitment to improving education in the territory.

The Federal Capital Territory has been a focus of infrastructure development under the Tinubu administration, with various projects aimed at enhancing the region’s connectivity and accessibility. The emphasis on education is expected to complement these efforts, with the potential to have a positive impact on the territory’s socio-economic development. As the 20-day showcase approaches, it is likely that the administration’s education initiatives will receive increased scrutiny and attention from stakeholders and the public alike.
