Governor Dauda Lawal of Zamfara State inaugurated two key subcommittees of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as the party prepares for its 2025 elective national convention. The Accreditation Subcommittee was launched on Friday at the PDP Legacy House in Maitama, Abuja, while the Special Duties Subcommittee was inaugurated at the PDP National Secretariat in Wadata Plaza, also in Abuja.

The Accreditation Subcommittee is tasked with producing the delegates’ list, booklets, and tags for participants and observers, as well as overseeing the accreditation and welfare of delegates attending the convention. The Special Duties Subcommittee will coordinate financial activities, approve budgets, manage disbursements, and lead fundraising efforts during the convention.

Both subcommittees form part of the National Convention Organising Committee, which is working to ensure a smooth and credible exercise. The PDP’s national convention is scheduled for November 15 and 16 in Ibadan, Oyo State. The inauguration of these subcommittees marks a significant step in the party’s preparations, aiming to facilitate a well‑organized and successful event that will shape its future.
