PDP Chairman Blames Devil for Party Crisis

The acting National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Umar Damagum, has stated that some members of the party are being manipulated by negative forces to create crisis within the organization. Damagum made this remark during a meeting with PDP state chairmen in Abuja, where they pledged their loyalty to his leadership.

The state chairmen, led by their forum chairman, Tony Aziegbemi from Edo, and forum secretary, Edward Masha from Kaduna, visited Damagum to reaffirm their support. In his address, Damagum cautioned those causing unrest within the party, reminding them that their actions have consequences. He emphasized the concept of karma, noting that the universe has a way of balancing out wrongdoing.

Damagum urged his colleagues to reflect on their actions and consider the well-being of the party that has supported their careers. He encouraged them to prioritize justice and fairness, highlighting the importance of accountability. The acting chairman also touched on the role of faith in guiding decision-making, emphasizing that a higher power is watching and will ultimately judge individual behavior.

The meeting between Damagum and the state chairmen is significant, as it comes at a time when the PDP is navigating internal conflicts. The party has been working to resolve its differences and present a united front ahead of future elections. Damagum’s remarks underscore the need for party members to prioritize unity and work towards the common goal of advancing the PDP’s interests.

As the PDP continues to address its internal challenges, the role of leadership will be crucial in shaping the party’s direction. Damagum’s message serves as a reminder that the actions of individual members can have far-reaching consequences, not only for the party but also for their own reputations and careers. The PDP’s ability to manage its internal dynamics will be closely watched in the coming months, as the party seeks to regain its footing and assert its influence in Nigerian politics.
