Anambra Governorship: AAC Candidate Criticizes Soludo’s Leadership

The African Action Congress candidate for the November 8 governorship election in Anambra state, Chioma Ifemeludike, has expressed concerns over the current administration’s handling of resident welfare. In a recent interview on Channels Television’s ‘Politics Today’, Ifemeludike stated that the lives of residents “haven’t mattered” under Governor Chukuwma Soludo’s leadership.

Ifemeludike highlighted the need for improvement in various sectors, particularly security. She noted that numerous deaths could have been prevented with effective governance. “When human lives are concerned, the government’s primary duty should be to protect its people,” she emphasized. The candidate also pointed out that with the state’s allocations and internally generated revenue, the government should prioritize the well-being of its citizens.

The upcoming governorship election is expected to be closely watched, with the Independent National Electoral Commission and the Nigeria police expressing their commitment to ensuring a peaceful exercise. As the election approaches, candidates are outlining their visions for the state’s future. Ifemeludike’s comments come as part of her campaign to address the concerns of Anambra state residents.
