Ogun to Prosecute DJ Chicken Over Reckless Driving Accidents

The Ogun State Ministry of Justice has announced plans to prosecute Ademola Abiodun, a popular TikTok content creator known as DJ Chicken, following a series of traffic accidents that have raised concerns about public safety. The decision comes after Abiodun was involved in a crash in Sagamu, Ogun State, on November 1, 2025, which critically injured a motorcycle rider and a female passenger.

According to eyewitnesses, Abiodun attempted to flee the scene before being stopped by onlookers. This incident is not isolated, as the ministry noted that DJ Chicken was involved in another crash on Sunday in Lekki, Lagos State, where he narrowly escaped hitting pedestrians. This marks the third road crash in two months, prompting concerns about his driving habits.

The Ogun State Ministry of Justice stated that Abiodun’s actions demonstrate a disregard for public safety, making it necessary for the state to intervene. The ministry emphasized that while compensation for crash victims is essential, some road users pose a significant danger to society and should be held accountable under criminal law.

The Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Oluwasina Ogungbade, has instructed relevant officers to expedite the pending crash case from Sagamu for a prompt arraignment. The ministry reaffirmed its commitment to working with law enforcement agencies to protect the public from reckless drivers.

The decision to prosecute Abiodun highlights the need for accountability and road safety measures. The Ogun State Ministry of Justice’s actions aim to ensure that drivers who pose a risk to others are held responsible for their actions. As the case progresses, the ministry’s efforts to guarantee public safety and enforce traffic laws will be closely monitored. The prosecution of DJ Chicken serves as a reminder of the importance of responsible driving and the consequences of reckless behavior on the road.
