BBNaija star Liquorose shares past rejection experience

Nigerian dancer and former Big Brother Naija contestant, Roseline Omokhoa Afije, also known as Liquorose, has shared her journey to participating in the reality show. In a recent podcast interview with VJ Adams, she revealed that her initial attempts to join the show were unsuccessful.

In 2020, Liquorose was selected to participate in the show but was not allowed to enter the house due to a positive COVID-19 test result, along with another potential housemate, Jaypaul. Prior to this, she had been waiting backstage to be introduced during the launch, only to be snubbed by the organizers. This experience left her feeling depressed and almost led her to give up on her dream of participating in the show.

Liquorose recounted that she was hesitant to audition again the following year, but a friend convinced her to try. She eventually auditioned and forgot about it, only to discover later that she had been selected. This time, she was able to participate in the show and emerged as the runner-up of Big Brother Naija Season 6 in 2021, losing the grand prize to Whitemoney.

The reality show, which has gained significant popularity in Nigeria and beyond, provides a platform for contestants to showcase their talents and compete for a grand prize. Liquorose’s story highlights the challenges and setbacks that some contestants face before achieving their goal of participating in the show.
