Accord Party Warns Against Division Ahead of 2026 Elections

The Accord Party has issued a stern warning against any attempts to undermine its unity and stability, as it prepares for upcoming elections in Nigeria. National Chairman, Barr. Maxwell Mgbudem, emphasized the party’s commitment to maintaining its harmony and indivisibility during the National Executive Committee meeting in Abuja on Friday.

Mgbudem reiterated that the party is a unified entity, with no factions at national or state levels, guided by its ideology of “Oneness and Progress.” He noted that recent judicial victories have solidified the party’s leadership and internal processes. However, he acknowledged that some individuals have resorted to unnecessary litigations in an attempt to distract the party.

With crucial elections on the horizon, including the 2026 FCT council elections, Ekiti and Osun state governorship polls, and the 2027 general election, Mgbudem urged party members to remain vigilant and united. He cautioned that the party will not tolerate any actions or utterances that seek to undermine its unity and stability. Instead, he emphasized the importance of unity, discipline, and collective resolve in achieving victory.

The party’s leadership has reaffirmed its commitment to upholding its core values and principles, ensuring that internal conflicts do not hinder its progress. By doing so, the Accord Party aims to maintain its position as a strong and cohesive political force in Nigeria. As the country approaches these significant elections, the party’s ability to remain united and focused will be crucial in determining its success. With its sights set on the upcoming polls, the Accord Party is gearing up to capitalize on its strengths and make a meaningful impact on the country’s political landscape.
