The All Progressive Congress candidate for Ilorin Central Constituency in next Saturday’s state assembly election, Magaji Oba‑Abdulkadir, hailed the triumph of APC presidential candidate Asiwaju Bola Tinubu in last week’s election as a repayment for his service to the people. Describing Tinubu’s emergence as president‑elect as “divine,” Magaji said Tinubu has produced many prominent political figures who are performing well in their respective roles. He called Tinubu a “detribalized man” with great leadership acumen and an unblemished track record, noting that his innovative and creative solutions to human and societal problems—especially in rural areas—reflect his love for grassroots citizens.
In his congratulatory message, Magaji affirmed that the president‑elect deserves the victory, having sacrificed greatly for the development of democracy and the nation. “The victory is divine; Tinubu deserves success in every way. He has contributed immensely to our country’s development and has built human capacity with his untarnished antecedents,” he said.
Magaji urged the people of Kwara to replicate the presidential victory at the state level in the upcoming election, emphasizing Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRaza’s commitment to developing the state. He called on Kwara residents to continue supporting the governor’s agenda so they can reap the dividends of democracy from the federal down to the state level.
He also congratulated Kwara Central senator‑elect Mallam Salihu Mustapha, describing him as a figure who has established a strong reputation through his significant impact and a decade of political involvement. Likewise, Magaji extended his congratulations to Ilorin West and Asa Federal House of Representative‑elect Mallam Muktar Tolani Shagaya, calling him a vibrant, resourceful young leader who consistently puts others first.
