Traditional leaders and community heads in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) have reaffirmed their support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his administration. The appointment of an Abuja native as minister and to other key national roles has reportedly strengthened the sense of belonging among the people.
During a visit by the FCT Renewed Hope Ambassadors to various communities—including Karshi, Karu, Garki, and Bwari—traditional rulers expressed satisfaction with the performance of FCT Minister Nyesom Wike. Hon. Adamu Abdullahi, the FCT Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, praised President Tinubu’s inclusive approach to governance. He noted that appointing an indigenous son of the FCT as minister reflects the president’s commitment to fairness, national integration, and confidence in the territory’s capacity to contribute to national development.
The Renewed Hope Ambassadors met with several traditional leaders, such as the Emir of Karshi, Alhaji Ismaila Danladi Muhammad, and the Sa’karuyi of Karu, Joseph Danfulani Narai. These community heads lauded the coordinator’s contributions to local development and reiterated their support for President Tinubu. In Garki, the Sapeyi, Alhaji (Dr.) Usman Nga Kupi, pledged his community’s loyalty and electoral support for the APC‑led government in the 2027 elections, citing the administration’s developmental strides in the FCT. Similarly, the traditional institution in Bwari, led by the Sarkin Bwari, Alhaji Awwal Musa Ijakoro, assured full support for Tinubu’s re‑election, while the Esu of Bwari, Dr. Ibrahim Yaro, congratulated the Renewed Hope Ambassadors’ coordinator and pledged to mobilize tribal chiefs to secure massive backing for the president.
The Renewed Hope Ambassadors have been conducting a grassroots mobilization drive across the FCT, engaging traditional institutions and local communities to garner support for President Tinubu’s re‑election. Their ongoing efforts aim to galvanize backing for an administration praised for its inclusive governance and developmental initiatives in the territory. As the 2027 elections approach, the FCT’s traditional leaders and community heads are expected to play a significant role in shaping the political landscape.
