The movement’s chairman, Prof. Hamza Maishanu, explained that the defection resulted from a collective decision reached after extensive consultations with members from all 23 local government areas of the state. He said the elders were impressed by the performance of the current administration under Governor Ahmed Aliyu and by its cordial relationship with Bafarawa, factors that influenced their choice to join the APC.
