Screening committees for ward and local government area positions will be inaugurated on February 10, with screening of aspirants taking place from February 11 to 13. Ward congresses are scheduled for February 18, while local government congresses will hold on February 20.

At the state level, the purchase of forms for state executive positions will commence from February 23 to 27, with screening and appeals for state executives slated for late February and early March 2026. State congresses will hold on March 7, 2026, with appeals to be entertained from March 9 to 11. The party will then move to the zonal level, with zonal congresses taking place on March 21, 2026, across the six geopolitical zones.

The national convention, which will be the culmination of the congresses, is expected to bring together party members and leaders from across the country. The convention will provide an opportunity for the party to elect new national officials and set its direction for the future. With the release of the timetable, the party has set in motion a process that will shape its leadership and trajectory in the coming years.

The All Progressives Congress is one of the major political parties in Nigeria, and its national convention is a significant event in the country’s political calendar. As the party prepares for its national convention, it is expected to demonstrate its commitment to democratic principles and internal democracy.
