Nigerian actress Doris Ogala has publicly rejected a $10,000 settlement offer from Pastor Chris Okafor, the founder of Grace Nation Bible Ministry. In a video posted on her Instagram, Ogala explained that the pastor had given her the money in two installments of $5,000 and asked her to publicly retract her earlier statements about him. According to Ogala, Okafor wanted her to claim that other pastors had instructed her to speak against him and then to debunk her previous accusations. She refused, saying she would not lie or be blackmailed.
Instead, Ogala said she accepted the money only to demonstrate that Pastor Okafor had indeed tried to settle the dispute with a payment. The controversy follows Ogala’s earlier allegations that Okafor had dumped her for another woman after promising to marry her. In recent days the two had engaged in table talks and attempts at resolution.
By rejecting the settlement and revealing the pastor’s proposal, Ogala has brought the matter back into the public eye. The involvement of a prominent religious leader and a well‑known actress has heightened interest in the case. Ogala’s video statement, recorded on December 23, 2025, was widely shared on social media, allowing the public to weigh in. Her decision to maintain her original accusations is seen as a significant development in the ongoing controversy, and it remains to be seen how the parties will proceed.
