In a statement released on Saturday, Alex Tagwai, the state Publicity Secretary of the ADC, clarified that claims of a court granting Ahmed the right to act as chairman of the party in Kaduna State are false. The party contests Ahmed’s leadership, noting that he is not recognized by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) or the national secretariat of the ADC. Tagwai emphasized that Ahmed lacks legal authority to assume the chairmanship, stating, “If so, Tijjani Ahmed should present the legal document that gives him the power to assume the position of chairman of the party in the state.”
