Abia State Governor Alex Otti said his re‑election bid in 2027 will be far simpler than his previous campaigns. Speaking at the 2025 Aro Day event in Arochukwu Local Government Area, he credited the optimism to the achievements of his administration since taking office. Unlike the 2023 election, when he campaigned on promises, Otti can now point to specific, tangible results that will serve as evidence of his performance.
The governor emphasized that his campaign will not rely on new promises but will highlight the visible progress made during his tenure. He urged citizens not to worry about the 2027 polls, noting that the election is still distant and his administration remains focused on delivering its mandate. With 30 months already completed, Otti acknowledged that there is still much work to be done to fulfill the government’s commitments to the people.
Otti’s confidence stems from the progress his administration has achieved, which he believes will make the 2027 election smoother than the previous one. He expects the people of Abia State to recognize and appreciate these efforts. As the election approaches, his strategy appears to center on showcasing the administration’s accomplishments rather than offering new promises, while continuing to work on delivering on existing commitments and building on the momentum generated so far.
