Abuja power outage caused by technical fault

A technical fault has caused a power outage in several areas of Abuja, according to the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC). The company announced this in a notice issued on Monday, stating that the affected areas include Flower Gate Estate, Apo Mechanic Village, and Waru Village, among others.

The outage has also impacted residents of Nzube Estate, Copacabana Estate, and Vision Court Estate, as well as Kabusa Village, Dogogada Village, and Living Faith Church. Other areas affected by the blackout include Peace Court Estate, Sunshine Homes, Fafu Homes, and Pent Ville Estate.

AEDC attributed the power outage to a technical fault affecting the feeder serving the area. The company apologized for the inconvenience and assured residents that its technical team is working to restore power supply as quickly as possible. In a statement, AEDC said, “We regret to inform you that the current power outage is due to a technical fault affecting the feeder serving your area. Our technical team is working tirelessly to restore power supply as quickly as possible.”

The power outage has likely caused disruptions to daily life and business activities in the affected areas. AEDC’s prompt response and efforts to restore power supply are crucial in minimizing the impact of the outage. The company’s technical team is expected to work around the clock to resolve the issue and restore electricity to the affected areas.

As the power distribution company works to resolve the technical fault, residents in the affected areas are advised to remain patient and stay informed about the status of the power restoration efforts. AEDC will likely provide updates on its progress, and residents can also contact the company’s customer service for more information. The swift resolution of the power outage is essential in ensuring the continued economic and social activities in the affected areas.
