The National Youth Service Corps has deployed 2,050 corps members to Bauchi State for the 2026 Batch ‘A’ Stream 1 orientation exercise, marking the beginning of their service year. According to Kufre Umoren, the Bauchi state NYSC Coordinator, the registration process will take place from January 21 to January 23 at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp in Ganjuwa Local Government Area.
The swearing-in ceremony is scheduled for January 23, and the orientation exercise is set to conclude on February 10. To ensure the integrity of the process, each corps member will undergo a thorough screening to verify their graduation status. This measure aims to prevent impersonation and maintain the credibility of the program.
Umoren emphasized the importance of adhering to camp rules and regulations, warning that defaulters will face sanctions in accordance with the scheme’s existing rules. He also cautioned corps members against late-night journeys, urging them to prioritize their safety. The state coordinator stressed the need for punctuality, diligence, and compliance with the dress code, emphasizing that failure to comply will result in disciplinary action.
