Jigawa Governor Urges Residents to Register for APC Ahead of 2027 Elections

Jigawa State Governor, Malam Umar Namadi, has called on residents to take advantage of the ongoing All Progressives Congress (APC) membership registration and Continuous Permanent Voter’s Card (PVC) registration. This comes as the country prepares for the 2027 general election.

In a statement, Governor Namadi emphasized the importance of the PVC as a vital tool that enables citizens to shape their political future. He noted that the registration exercise is open and accessible to all eligible citizens. The governor encouraged residents to participate in the democratic process by registering for the APC and obtaining their PVC.

The statement highlighted the achievements of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, urging residents to support him in the forthcoming elections. Governor Namadi also reminded those who have not yet registered to do so, emphasizing the need for them to become formal party members and collect their PVC.

The APC is reportedly the dominant party in Jigawa State and across the country, with a notable impact on citizens’ lives. Jigawa State has one of the highest numbers of collected PVCs in the country, indicating a high level of civic engagement.

Governor Namadi’s call to action aims to increase participation in the democratic process and strengthen the APC’s presence in the state. As the 2027 general election approaches, the governor’s emphasis on registration and voter participation is likely to have significant implications for the state’s political landscape.

The ongoing registration exercise provides an opportunity for citizens to exercise their right to vote and shape the country’s future. With the APC’s performance and impact on citizens’ lives, Governor Namadi’s appeal to residents to register and support the party is expected to resonate with the electorate. As the electoral process unfolds, the significance of voter registration and participation will continue to be a key focus for political leaders and citizens alike.
