Ogun: Stadium Junction–Luba road nears completion - Dapo Abiodun

The Stadium Junction–Luba Road reconstruction in Ogun State, Nigeria, is nearing completion with construction work at 99 percent, Governor Dapo Abiodun announced via his official social media account on X.

The project, which serves communities including Erunwun, Atan, and Luba, has progressed beyond the asphalt binder stage and is now in its final phase ahead of full commissioning. Governor Abiodun stated that the significant progress reflects the state government’s commitment to delivering durable infrastructure that directly improves residents’ daily lives.

The Stadium Junction–Luba corridor is identified as a critical route within the region. Its reconstruction is expected to reduce travel times, enhance safety for motorists, and strengthen connectivity between several neighbouring communities. This improvement in road infrastructure is positioned as a catalyst for easing traffic movement and stimulating local economic activity.

This project forms a component of Governor Abiodun’s administration’s broader people-centred development agenda, which prioritises sustained investment in infrastructure to boost economic activities and improve the overall quality of life across Ogun State. The government emphasizes that such developments are designed to provide tangible, long-term benefits for residents and support statewide growth.

With completion imminent, the commissioning of the Stadium Junction–Luba Road is anticipated to mark a significant milestone in the state’s ongoing efforts to upgrade its transport network, with expected positive impacts on regional accessibility and commerce.
