TikTok’s Top 10 Most Followed Creators 2024

TikTok, with billions of users globally, remains one of the world’s most influential social media platforms, where viral trends and creator economies thrive. Recent data from Social Blade ranks the platform’s ten most-followed accounts, highlighting a mix of dance phenoms, comedians, and philanthropists who have sustained massive audiences through shifting trends and external pressures, including recent geopolitical tensions.

Leading the list is Khaby Lame, with 160.3 million followers. The Senegalese-Italian creator rose to prominence through silent, deadpan reactions to overly complicated life “hack” videos, leveraging duets and stitches. He is followed closely by Charli D’Amelio, a 156.3 million-follower stronghold who first gained fame during COVID-19 lockdowns with her dance videos and has since expanded into television and business.

The third spot is held by YouTube mega-star MrBeast, with 124.7 million TikTok followers. His account features large-scale challenges and giveaways, aligning with his persona of over-the-top generosity. He recently drew significant attention for publicly offering to purchase TikTok amid its temporary U.S. ban threat.

Completing the top five are Bella Poarch (92.6 million) and the official TikTok account itself (93.3 million). Poarch’s 2020 lip-sync video became the platform’s most-liked at the time, and she has since launched a music career. The platform’s official account serves as a hub for celebrity interviews and user tips.

The remainder of the top ten illustrates the platform’s diversity. Addison Rae (88.2 million), another lockdown dance sensation, has transitioned into pop music. Indonesian creator Willie Salim (85.3 million) is known for viral challenges and large-scale giveaways. Zach King (84.4 million) captivates audiences with seamless magic and editing tricks, including the most-viewed TikTok of 2019. Mexican influencer Kimberly Loaiza (83.7 million) boasts a cross-platform empire spanning music and touring. Rounding out the list is domelipa (75.9 million), who focuses on choreographed dances and lifestyle content.

These rankings reflect TikTok’s power to create international stars, often originating from specific viral moments but maintaining relevance through brand extension and consistent engagement. The current leaderboard, while subject to change, underscores a platform where authenticity, niche expertise, and adaptability remain key to accruing a global following. The sustained popularity of these creators through various cultural moments, including pandemic-driven growth and regulatory scrutiny, demonstrates TikTok’s entrenched role in modern digital culture.
