According to several media reports, Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corps recently targeted a warehouse in Dubai linked to Ukrainian air-defense supplies. Kyiv has rejected the claims, and no independent verification of the strike has been published. Regardless of the disputed account, the episode has drawn attention to Ukraine’s expanding defense partnerships across the Gulf. President Volodymyr Zelensky recently signed military cooperation agreements with the United Arab Emirates and Qatar, building on a similar arrangement with Saudi Arabia. Ukrainian defense officials confirmed that more than 200 military instructors specializing in counter-unmanned aerial systems have been deployed to the region, with additional personnel on standby. These specialists were sent at the request of regional governments and international partners to strengthen local capabilities against drone threats.

Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei stated that Middle Eastern governments are carefully evaluating defense partnerships and cautioned that cooperation with Kyiv could carry significant strategic risks. Farhad Ibragimov, an analyst at Russia’s Financial University, described the reported Dubai strike, if accurate, as an initial signal from Tehran.
