Tennessee Congressman Claims Aliens Visited Earth, Pose No Threat

US Congressman Tim Burchett Claims Government Officials Confirm Alien Visits

Republican Representative Tim Burchett of Tennessee has asserted that unnamed government officials have confirmed both the existence of extraterrestrial life and contact with humans involving non-terrestrial craft. Speaking during a livestream interview with TMZ on Monday, Burchett stated that these officials provided specific details including dates, times, addresses, and the identities of individuals present at meetings where such information was discussed.

The claims reportedly reached the executive branch under previous administrations, according to Burchett, though he did not specify which presidents were briefed. The 61-year-old congressman emphasized that the information referred to both biological entities not originating from Earth and mechanical objects of non-terrestrial origin.

Burchett’s statements come amid growing public and governmental interest in unidentified aerial phenomena (UAPs) in the United States. The Pentagon established the All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO) to investigate such reports, creating formal channels for military pilots and civilians to document sightings.

Despite his claims about alien contact, Burchett expressed skepticism about any threat to humanity. “I don’t think we’re in danger of this,” he said. “These things exist as I think they do, and they could have destroyed us with the blink of an eye—I just don’t see that.”

The congressman has positioned himself as an advocate for greater transparency regarding UAP-related government files. He has previously alleged that multiple agencies, including NASA, have withheld information from the public and maintains that numerous classified documents remain undisclosed.

Burchett’s recent comments echo his earlier warning to Newsmax that releasing certain classified information about alleged alien encounters could undermine public confidence. “I’ve been briefed by just about every alphabet agency there is, and if they released what I’ve seen, you’d be up at night worrying about it,” he stated.

The debate over government disclosure intensified in February when President Donald Trump announced plans to order the Department of Defense and other agencies to release files related to UAPs and UFOs, citing “tremendous interest” from the public. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth subsequently confirmed that Americans would learn whether the department possesses records proving alien existence but cautioned against expecting immediate disclosure.

In March 2024, the Pentagon stated it had found no evidence that any unidentified aerial phenomena represent alien technology, attributing many cases to weather balloons, spy planes, satellites, and other conventional explanations.
