Kaduna State Police Command Strengthens Community Engagement to Boost Security
In a bid to curb rising insecurity and foster peaceful coexistence, senior police officials have intensified outreach efforts in Kaduna State’s southern region. Deputy Inspector-General of Police (Operations), DIG Shehu Umar Nadada, and the Commissioner of Police, CP Rabiu Muhammad, led a series of strategic engagements with community leaders, traditional rulers, religious figures, youth representatives, and Fulani groups including Miyetti Allah.
The visits covered Kachia, Sanga, Jere, Zango, Kajuru, and Kafanchan Local Government Areas, among other communities. Discussions centred on enhancing collaboration between security agencies and residents, addressing persistent farmer-herder conflicts, and improving intelligence sharing to tackle criminal activities effectively.
DIG Nadada stressed the critical need for peaceful coexistence, urging all residents to live in harmony and avoid actions that could heighten tensions. He reaffirmed the Nigeria Police Force’s unwavering commitment to protecting lives and property across the state.
The engagement also served as a platform for community members to voice their concerns and contribute practical solutions aimed at restoring lasting peace. The Kaduna State Police Command reiterated its dedication to community-oriented policing and called on residents to actively support security agencies in maintaining stability throughout the state.
These efforts form part of broader initiatives by Nigerian security forces to build public confidence and address the complex security challenges facing parts of the country.
