Speaking at the event, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, emphasized that ceremonial condolences were insufficient without sustained action to assist the late senator’s dependents. Wike recalled Mpigi’s unwavering loyalty during challenging political periods, noting his significant contributions to legislative effectiveness and political stability in Rivers State.
