Apostle Joshua Selman Donates N200 Million Relief Items to Plateau Victims

JOS, NIGERIA — Apostle Joshua Selman, President of Koinonia Global Ministries, has donated relief items valued at N200 million to Governor Caleb Mutfwang for victims of recent attacks in Plateau State.

The donation was made on Wednesday during a condolence visit by Selman and other prominent clergymen to the governor in Jos. The relief package includes N100 million in cash and 3,000 bags of rice and oil worth over N100 million, to be distributed to affected families.

Presenting the items, Selman emphasized the importance of demonstrating concern and empathy during difficult times. “As sons of Plateau, it is our responsibility to identify with the state in this challenging period,” he said. “While these palliatives cannot bring back lost lives, they can bring solace to grieving families.”

The cleric also expressed hope for the state’s future, encouraging residents not to lose heart. “There is still hope for Plateau,” he told Governor Mutfwang. “Someday we will look back and thank you for your resilience.”

Governor Mutfwang welcomed the gesture, praising Selman’s commitment to the state despite being a native son. He urged all stakeholders to emulate the preacher’s kindness and contribute to Plateau’s development.

“The preservation of Plateau is a divine project that requires collective effort,” the governor stated. “This is a land that God has set on a hill, and we must take that responsibility seriously.”

The governor also expressed gratitude to God for protecting the state from potentially worse attacks, while acknowledging the need for continued vigilance and action to prevent future incidents.

The donation comes amid ongoing security challenges in Plateau State, where communities have faced repeated attacks resulting in loss of lives and property. The state government has been working to address these issues through various measures aimed at improving security and supporting affected communities.
