This legal action, marked K/360/2026, is currently before the Kano State High Court and specifically challenges the planned screening of Garo.
The lawyers emphasized that the matter is sub judice, indicating that it is under judicial consideration and should not be interfered with. They urged the Assembly to suspend all actions related to the screening process, warning that any steps taken while the case is pending could compromise the integrity of the judicial process. A copy of the letter was also sent to the Clerk of the Assembly, and lawmakers have acknowledged its receipt.
