Kwankwasiyya Movement Backs Obi and Kwankwaso for 2027 Elections

The Kwankwasiyya movement has said that only Peter Obi and Rabi’u Kwankwaso command organic support in the forthcoming 2027 general elections.

This follows the jostling for the presidential ticket of the opposition African Democratic Congress, ADC. Spokesperson of the Kwankwasiyya movement, Habib Mailemo, stated this on Arise Television, noting that the followership enjoyed by Obi and Kwankwaso was rooted in personal conviction rather than political inducement or entrenched party structures.

The movement made this remark while countering former Vice President Atiku Abubakar. According to him, Atiku’s popularity came mostly from PDP governors and the party’s established structures.

“It is only Peter Obi and my principal, Alhaji Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso who have organic followers that are not induced by anything. Their aspirations align with the belief in their competence and proven track records, and the masses identify with them,” Mailemo stated.
