PDP Benue Unveils House of Reps Aspirants for 2027 Elections

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Benue State has unveiled its list of House of Representatives aspirants as part of its preparations for the 2027 general elections. The party described the announcement as a clear signal of its readiness to contest the National Assembly polls and its determination to field credible candidates capable of delivering effective representation.

In a statement, the PDP said the aspirants represent a mix of seasoned politicians, emerging leaders, and committed party members drawn from across the state’s federal constituencies. The list includes Dr Shior Emmanuel, Hon Iortyom Simon, Hon Tikaa Desmond, Dr Kester Kyenge, Hon Sunday Emmanuel Udeh, Hon Godwin Joseph, Hon Engr Orje Torhee, Hon Adejo Adejo, Hon Desire Oche Adaji, Hon Adoyi Isaac, Hon Ikyaator Vaachia, Hon Aida Nath, Barr Uke Seer Adeiyongo, Hon Ikyaagba Dominic, Hon Ukaa Emmanuel, Moses Mkeenem, Gen Ode Ede Gabriel (Rtd), Innocent Adega, Dexta Ngbede, and Hon Mrs Makama-Iver Ana Abigail.

The party emphasised that the unveiling reflects its growing strength and internal vibrancy, while reaffirming its commitment to a transparent, free, and fair selection process. It added that the process is designed to ensure that only candidates with the capacity to advance the interests of the people will emerge.

The PDP also called on party members, stakeholders, and the public to support the process in the spirit of unity, sportsmanship, and collective progress. It urged all inquiries regarding the publication to be directed to the Office of the State Secretary via the provided contact number.

The announcement comes as political parties across Nigeria intensify preparations for the 2027 elections, with internal contests for candidate selection becoming a key focus in the build-up to the polls.
