Transcorp Power Approves N41.2bn Dividend, Shares Rise

Transcorp Power Plc approved a total dividend of ₦41.2 billion at its 13th Annual General Meeting in Abuja. The payout consists of an interim dividend of ₦11 billion (₦1.50 per share) paid in August 2025 and a final dividend of ₦30 billion (₦4 per share).

The company announced revenue of ₦398.27 billion for the 2025 financial year, up from ₦305.94 billion in 2024. Shareholders also ratified the audited financial statements for the year ended 31 December 2025.

Chairman Emmanuel Nnorom attributed the improved performance to a recent capacity expansion that added 100 MW of generation, raising the plant’s available capacity. He noted that the company also reduced its loan obligations during the year, thereby strengthening its balance sheet.

Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Peter Ikenga highlighted that operational results were maintained despite ongoing transmission constraints. He said the firm is continuing efforts to enhance power evacuation and reinforce transmission infrastructure.

During the meeting, several shareholders expressed concern over vandalism of grid assets and called for stronger protection measures for critical infrastructure.

The dividend approval underscores Transcorp Power’s commitment to delivering shareholder value while pursuing growth and financial stability. The company’s next steps include further investment in capacity and ongoing work to improve the reliability of Nigeria’s power transmission network.
