Kaduna: How 2026 budget will be funded - Commissioner

Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani has approved a slate of senior appointments aimed at advancing his administration’s reform agenda and strengthening governance in the state. The 16 newly appointed officials, most of whom are seasoned professionals and emerging leaders, will assume key advisory, managerial and board positions across a range of sectors.

The appointments are as follows:

* Balarabe Muhammad Bello – Counsellor, Infrastructure
* Danlami Adamu – Special Adviser, Peace and Conflict Resolution
* Hon. Esther Ashievelli Dawaki – General Manager, Kaduna State Community and Social Development Agency
* Hon. Muhammad Abubakar Mamadi – Special Adviser, Political Matters
* Yusuf Salihu – Special Adviser, Urban Planning and Development
* Hon. Yahaya Baba Pate – Special Adviser, Special Duties
* Abdulrahman Ibrahim – Special Adviser, Citizenship and Leadership
* Hamza Ibrahim – Special Adviser, Primary Healthcare Matters
* Muutasim Billah Yusuf – Special Adviser, Debt Management
* Bashir Idris Aliyu – Special Adviser, Agricultural Development
* Tanko Bajo Kokwain – Board Chairman, Kaduna State Schools Quality Assurance Authority
* Shehu Usman Dantudu – Board Chairman, Kaduna Market Development and Management Company
* Samson Monday Dikko – Senior Special Assistant, Community Engagement III
* Edward John Auta – Senior Special Assistant, Industrial Training and Development
* Amanda Tanko Usman – Senior Special Assistant, Contact and Mobilization II
* Alhassan Mando – Senior Special Assistant, Special Duties III
* Zubairu Usman Abdullahi – Senior Special Assistant, Stakeholder Relations III

In a statement, Governor Sani congratulated the appointees and urged them to uphold transparency, integrity and accountability in the performance of their duties. He emphasized that the new team is expected to apply their expertise to deliver concrete results for citizens and to support the state’s transformation into a model of good governance, policy‑driven development and innovation.

The governor’s administration has outlined a strategic focus on infrastructural development, peacebuilding, healthcare, agriculture, education quality and fiscal management. By staffing critical offices with experienced advisers and managers, the government signals its intent to accelerate reforms and improve service delivery across Kaduna State.

Chief Press Secretary Ibraheem Musa issued the announcement on 9 May 2026. The appointments are anticipated to take effect immediately, with the new officials beginning work under the governor’s direction to implement the state’s development agenda.
