Ganduje sympathises with victims of Kano markets fire incidents 

The Governor of Kano State, Abdullahi Ganduje, has sympathised with the victims of fire incidents in Kurmi, Rimi and Singer markets in the state.

This was contained in a statement by the Chief Press Secretary to Ganduje, Abba Anwar, issued to newsmen on Tuesday.

The reports fire outbreak had destroyed properties worth millions of naira during the incidents.

While praying for greater fortitude to bear the loss for the affected marketers, Ganduje urged victims of the disaster to always check and cross check electrical appliances when leaving their places of business.

“On behalf of the government and good people of Kano State, I am extending our sympathetic message to all those who lost their valuables. May Allah see them through in their future endeavours.

“This tragedy is not only for the shop owners alone, it is for all of us. In fact this is a national tragedy. May Allah give them the courage to take this as Divine trial from Allah,” Anwar quoted Ganduje as saying in the statement.

He disclosed that efforts were ongoing to unearth the remote and immediate causes of the tragedy.
