Omilia Secures $67M Series B for AI Customer Experience Expansion

Omilia, an artificial intelligence platform specialising in customer experience automation, has secured $67 million in Series B funding to accelerate its global expansion and strengthen its proprietary voice AI technology. The round was led by Expedition Growth Capital, marking the company’s second institutional financing since its founding.

The investment will support Omilia’s push into North America, including the opening of its first US office later this year, and the addition of roughly 100 employees to bring its workforce to about 600. Funds will also be directed toward senior leadership hires across revenue, marketing and international growth roles, as well as further development of its self-learning AI agents.

Omilia’s platform serves large enterprises in regulated sectors such as banking, insurance, Healthcare and retail. Its client roster includes Capital One, Discover, Royal Bank of Canada, Taco Bell, the UK’s Department for Work and Pensions, and Public Service Enterprise Group. The company reports that its annual recurring revenue has grown more than tenfold to exceed $60 million, driven by adoption of its Self-Learning Agentic CX platform and pricing models that eliminate unpredictable token-based costs.

Unlike many competitors that rely on third‑party large language models, Omilia has developed its own voice AI stack. This proprietary technology enables high‑volume, low‑latency customer interactions while giving enterprises greater operational control and transparent pricing. The platform meets stringent compliance standards including FedRAMP, PCI‑DSS, SOC 2, HIPAA and GDPR, making it suitable for highly regulated environments.

Current deployments illustrate the scale of Omilia’s operations. A major US bank processes more than one million calls daily through the system, while an insurance provider handles over 600,000 agent‑assisted interactions each day. The company recently extended its partnership with Taco Bell, where its voice AI now powers ordering at more than 1,000 drive‑thru locations across 38 states. Omilia has also introduced Lexis, a generative text‑to‑speech model built specifically for enterprise contact centres.

Chief executive Dimitris Vassos said the cloud platform has become a critical part of daily customer interactions for many global enterprises, and the new capital will speed the rollout of self‑learning AI agents to organisations seeking modern contact centre solutions. Oliver Thomas, founder and managing partner of Expedition Growth Capital, noted that Omilia combines deep industry expertise with proven product leadership, delivering measurable operational improvements while maintaining predictable costs.

The funding reflects growing demand for enterprise‑grade conversational AI that balances automation with compliance and cost certainty. As businesses across financial services, healthcare and retail continue to modernise customer engagement, Omilia’s focus on proprietary voice technology and regulated‑industry readiness positions it to deepen relationships in these sectors. The company’s next phase will test whether its self‑learning approach can sustain momentum in an increasingly competitive AI landscape.
