Nigerian rapper Emeka Akuma, widely known as Blaqbonez, has announced legal action against fellow artist Odumodublvck following a sexual abuse allegation leveled against him during their ongoing public dispute.

Blaqbonez disclosed the decision during a recent interview addressing the feud between the two musicians. He stated that he initially refrained from engaging with the controversy, dismissing attempts to portray him as the antagonist. However, he said the nature of the accusation compelled a formal response.

“I’m taking him to court. So come to court and prove that I’m what you say I am,” Blaqbonez said, challenging his colleague to substantiate the claim through the judicial system. He emphasized that the matter extends beyond typical industry rivalry and must be resolved through due process.

According to Blaqbonez, the conflict originated from an encounter involving a woman both artists met at the same venue in June or July 2023. He declined to elaborate on the specifics of that meeting but insisted the sexual abuse allegation cannot be treated as artistic banter or promotional strategy.

“In the history of men, I don’t think a man has ever done this to another man. I don’t care about being the bad guy, but when you say sexual abuse, that’s not a tag that I will joke with,” he said. The rapper affirmed his commitment to pursuing the case to its conclusion.

The development marks a significant escalation in a dispute that has played out across social media and music circles in recent weeks. While public feuds among Nigerian entertainers often generate attention, the introduction of a serious criminal allegation and a explicit threat of litigation shifts the dynamic from entertainment commentary to potential legal proceedings.

Legal observers note that defamation and criminal accusation cases involving public figures in Nigeria can be protracted, often requiring substantial evidence to proceed. Both artists command significant followings, and the case could set a precedent for how serious personal allegations are handled within the country’s vibrant but loosely regulated creative industry.

As of press time, Odumodublvck has not issued a public response to the legal threat. The next steps will likely depend on whether formal court documents are filed and how both parties choose to navigate the intersection of reputation, accountability, and the law in the court of public opinion and the court of law.
