Group provides free WiFi for Lagos residents

Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu

A group, the Lagos of Our Dream, also known as Project LOUD, has said it is providing free mobile WiFi across the state for residents in support of the re-election of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

Some of the locations where the WiFi has been in operation for some days are Ikeja, Surulere, Eti Osa, and Lagos Island.

A statement by the group maintained that it was done in collaboration with some members of the All Progressives Congress, including Adedeji Adebayo, Hammed Adeola and Idrees Yakub.

It revealed that their decision to embark on state-wide free mobile WiFi, especially for the youth, was in recognition and support of the various landmark projects of the governor.

“We are proud to associate with the developmental initiatives of Mr Governor in all parts of the state.

“Since assumption of office, Sanwo-Olu has brought his experience, expertise, and outstanding academic and professional qualifications to bear on governance in Lagos State.

“He (Sanwo-Olu) has initiated key programmes that are youth-centric, especially in supporting innovation, start-ups, and entrepreneurs to grow and blossom through grants, soft loans, and employment.

“As young people, we are encouraged by the opportunities being provided for the youths by the Sanwo-Olu administration and in our small way, we are supporting the re-election of Governor Sanwo-Olu to continue his transformational and positively impactful projects across all sectors and sections of the state,” it said.

It urged young people in the state to massively vote for Sanwo-Olu on Saturday and all the APC candidates in the House of Assembly election.

According to the statement, doing so will engender consolidation of the achievements so far by the current administration and help to further accentuate more initiatives that will result in better outcomes for the youth and the state at large.
