2023 AFCONQ: Guinea-Bissau begins preparation for Super Eagles clash

The Djurtus of Guinea-Bissau arrived in Bissau early Monday morning to begin preparations for their 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying double header against the Super Eagles of Nigeria.

The players and their officials, according to information on the official website of the Guinea-Bissau Football Federation, arrived at Osvaldo Vieira International Airport around 2 a.m.

The team will observe their first official training session later on Monday.

Head coach Baciro Cande summoned 25 players for the game.

All the invited players are foreign professionals.

The Djurtus occupy second position in Group A with four points, two adrift of the Super Eagles, who top the standings with six points.

Both teams will clash at the Moshood Abiola Stadium, Abuja on Wednesday.

The reverse fixture will hold next week Monday at the 24 de Setembro National Stadium, Bissau.

Sierra Leone and Sao Tome and Principe are the other teams in the group.
