Napoli are set to demand £150 million for their star striker Victor Osimhen this summer, with Manchester United and Chelsea among the clubs reportedly chasing his signature. The 24‑year‑old Nigerian has been one of the most sought‑after forwards in Europe, netting 25 goals for Napoli and helping the team finish 19 points clear at the top of Serie A. A report credited to Il Mattino by Mail Online says Napoli expect a flood of offers at the end of the season after his dazzling campaign and have responded by attaching a huge price tag to the player.

The Italian club are under no pressure to sell, as Osimhen is contracted until 2025. President Aurelio De Laurentiis has indicated he will not even sit down with clubs that offer less than the £150 million asking price. Nevertheless, the striker has expressed interest in joining United, who have made signing a new striker a priority this summer. However, the eye‑watering fee Napoli demand could deter the Manchester club, whose manager Erik ten Hag is desperate for additional firepower to challenge Arsenal and Manchester City for the Premier League title.

United are also linked with Harry Kane, though the Tottenham forward would cost around £100 million and his contract expires in 2024. Spurs are reportedly unwilling to accept instalment payments and aim to keep Kane from joining a domestic rival, preferring to persuade him to sign a new deal despite a difficult season. Even so, Kane would still be a cheaper option than Osimhen, and United have also shown interest in RB Salzburg’s Benjamin Šeško, whose move to Leipzig could still be intercepted.

Chelsea have likewise been strongly linked with Osimhen. Despite spending £600 million on new players under owner Todd Boehly this season, the Blues still lack a reliable goalscorer, with João Félix and Kai Havertz struggling to deliver consistently. Italian outlet Calciomercato reported that Chelsea see Osimhen as having “the right profile” and that Boehly plans to offer cash plus Christian Pulisic in exchange. This month, Osimhen confirmed he will meet with his agents to discuss his future at the end of the season.
