EPL: I was concerned about them – Lauren names club to win title this season

Former Arsenal right-back Lauren has said he was ‘very concerned’ about the team under Mikel Arteta.

The Cameroonian, who won three FA Cups and two Premier League titles with the Gunners during his playing days, said was worried about Mikel Arteta’s side’s mentality heading into the last few matches of the season.

However, he said with just 10 games to go and Arsenal eight points clear of Manchester City, they are now in a superb position to win the league.

“I was very concerned about this team and how they would cope mentally. When you get to this stage of the season, this period brings pressure and anxiety,” the former Cameroonian international told Sky Sports.

“If this team is capable of managing that pressure and that anxiety, I think that they have a great chance of winning the league.”
