Osimhen, now regarded as one of the world’s elite forwards, has propelled Napoli to the brink of the Serie A title and attracted reported interest from several of football’s biggest clubs. He is just one goal behind the joint record held by Odion Ighalo and Ahmed Musa. Although the duo have played more games, the 24‑year‑old boasts a superior strike rate of 0.68 goals per game. Late Rashidi Yekini tops the chart with 37 goals in 67 matches—22 more than Osimhen—but many fans believe the Napoli striker can surpass that tally if he maintains his scoring form for the Eagles.
Last June, Osimhen, who has already netted 25 goals in all competitions for Napoli this season, scored four times in Nigeria’s 10‑0 demolition of São Tomé and Príncipe. His scoring spree came just days after he delivered the winner in a 2‑1 victory over Sierra Leone on Matchday 1.
