Tinubu has no capacity to run Nigeria – Bode George

Bode George, a former Deputy National Chairman of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, on Monday hinted on the possibility of his relocation to any country of his choice following the victory of Bola Tinubu, at the just concluded presidential election.

The PDP chieftain who has been a major critic of Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, in the February 25 poll, spoke while featuring on Channels TV’s program.

Prior to the emergence of Tinubu as president-elect, Bode George had said he would go on exile if the former Lagos governor becomes President Muhammadu Buhari’s successor.

Speaking with Channels after the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, declared Tinubu President-elect, the former PDP chairman reiterated his stance, saying it is his inalienable right to live anywhere in the world.

“I didn’t hide my feelings: I said if this fellow (Tinubu) becomes the President, I will lose my interest politically.

“I have the right as a Nigerian to live anywhere I want. And I am saying it publicly that I am ready to retire from partisan politics. This is my own personal conviction that they don’t have the capacity, the ability to run this nation.”
