EPL: Chelsea legend tells Tottenham best manager to appoint as Conte’s replacement

Chelsea legend, Chris Sutton has urged Tottenham Hotspur to appoint former Spain and Barcelona manager, Luis Enrique as Antonio Conte’s replacement.

Sutton believes Enrique is the best manager to succeed Conte at Tottenham, adding that the Spaniard ticks the box.

According to him, Conte, who recently parted ways with Tottenham, deployed a ‘negative’ brand of football during his time in charge as Spurs manager.

“I think what’s really important for Spurs, this was always a criticism of Conte, the brand of football was negative, from the start of the season how many times have you seen Spurs play an exciting brand of football,” Sutton told BBC’s Monday Night Club.

He added: “That is why Luis Enrique ticks that box.

“In terms of brand of football, I think they would love Enrique.”
