Anthony Joshua gives condition to retire from boxing

British heavyweight boxer, Anthony Joshua, has insisted he would retire from boxing if he loses to American boxer Jermaine Franklin.

Joshua will clash with Franklin on Saturday at the O2 Arena in Greenwich, London.

The 33-year-old had scheduled to fight Tyson Fury in a bout in November or December. However, the fight never came to fruition because of sponsorship issues.

Joshua will hope to upturn his bad run of form after losses to Ukraine’s Oleksandr Usyk in August of 2022.

“I will. I will retire if I lose,” Joshua told MailOnline.

“I am not here to battle people. If people want me to retire, I will retire. I am not going to fight if people don’t want me to.”
