The Association of Advertising Agencies of Nigeria (AAAN) will hold a fitness walk on April 1 in Lagos as part of its 50th‑anniversary celebrations. The event aims to promote physical exercise and overall wellness for both association members and the public.
AAAN President Steve Babaeko announced the itinerary and invited staff from member agencies to join the walk, which will begin at 8 a.m. He also noted that the association will make a charitable donation to an orphanage for mentally and physically challenged children. “AAAN is 50 years young. We feel youthful, vibrant, trendy, and healthy. We are therefore using this activity to promote general body wellness among member agencies. As part of this fitness walk, we are making donations to an orphanage school for mentally and physically challenged children. All member‑agency staff are welcome to be part of this walk starting at 8 a.m. Come, let’s walk the talk together,” Babaeko said.
The route will start at the AAAN Secretariat on Jobi Fele Way, proceed to Marwa Garden Estate, continue along CIPM Avenue, then Hakeem Balogun Street, and return to the Secretariat.
Chairman of the AAAN Welfare Committee, Fillius Osubor, disclosed that the health and wellness company I‑Fitness will lead aerobics sessions during the walk. Participants will also receive health check‑ups, enjoy entertainment, and be provided with refreshments. The fitness walk is supported by McVitie’s, 12 Baskets Foods, and the Dozy Mmobuosi Foundation.
Founded in 1973 as a sectorial body in the marketing industry, AAAN serves as the umbrella organization that coordinates and promotes the interests of advertising agencies in Nigeria.
