Nigerian superstar Ayodeji Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid, has rallied his fans to stream his colleague David Adeleke’s new album. Davido’s highly anticipated record, *Timeless*, amassed one million streams on Boomplay within six hours of its Friday release. The album currently tops Nigeria’s Top Albums Chart, the UK’s Top Albums Chart, and holds the No. 1 spot in 17 other countries on Apple Music.
Davido announced the 17‑track album on his social media pages in the early hours of Friday. In a show of support, Wizkid posted on Instagram and Twitter, urging his followers to listen: “Inside. Y’all go listen to *Timeless* by my brother @davido.” This marks the first time Wizkid has publicly referenced Davido’s album since 2011, and the gesture may finally put to rest rumors of a feud between the two artists and their fans, who have previously sparred on various platforms.
Speaking about the release, Davido expressed gratitude and reflection: “At long last – WE are back. The journey from my last album to this one has been a whirlwind, to say the least. I recall sitting and staring over the ocean not too long ago, wondering if I could get here again after all I’ve been through… but with your love and support, we made it. I’m not sure what comes after this, but I wanted to give you my heart, soul, and energy. Today I present you *TIMEL…* ⏳”
