Abba Yusuf, the Kano governor-elect has approved a 65-member transition committee for the smooth take-off of his administration on May 29.

This is contained in a statement on Friday in Kano by his spokesman, Sanusi Dawakin-Tofa.

Mr Dawakin-Tofa said that the committee would be headed by Baffa Bichi, a former executive secretary of the Tertiary Education Trust Fund, TETFUND, while a retired Permanent Secretary, Mr Abdullahi Musa would serve as the secretary.

He said that the committee would among other things facilitate the orderly transfer of power from the outgoing administration of Gov. Abdullahi Ganduje to the incoming administration of Yusuf.
