A popular Nollywood actress, Mercy Aigbe, has disclosed that she has converted to Islam.
Mrs Aigbe revealed this at a Ramadan lecture/special prayers hosted by herself and her husband, Kazeem Adeoti, on Saturday.
The award-winning actress also disclosed that her new name is now Meenah.
In a video of the event which emerged on Sunday, the actress said, “Insha Allah, my new name is Hajia Meenah Mercy Adeoti. Meenah with the H.”
She also expressed her appreciation to the guests who turned up for the lecture.
The actress got married to Mr Adeoti in 2022 and was accused of having an extramarital affair while she was still married to her ex, Lanre Gentry.
