Lawmakers in Senate, House of Reps now buying positions – Ndume alleges

The Senator representing Borno south senatorial district, Ali Ndume has alleged that leadership positions in the 10th National Assembly are being “bought”.

Ndume stated this during an interview with Channels Television on Sunday.

According to him, kleptocrats and plutocrats are taking over the leadership of Nigeria.

There has been intense politicking by many lawmakers-elect for leadership positions, ahead of the inauguration of the 10th National Assembly in June.

“The position in the leadership of this country is becoming those that belong to kleptocrats and plutocrats.

“Democracy is no longer there. They are buying it already,” Ndume claimed.
