NPFL: Lobi Stars goalie Daniel rewarded for stopping Rangers

Lobi Stars goalkeeper Emmanuel Daniel was rewarded with N20,000 after he won the Man-of-the-Match award in the side’s 1-1 draw against Rangers at the Awka City Stadium on Sunday.

Special adviser to the Governor of Benue State on Media and Publicity, Terver Akase, doled out the money to the former Olympic Eagles goalkeeper.

Akase assured the players of a sustained gesture, noting that, as a top supporter of the club, he will always contribute his quota to the success of the club.

Daniel was in fantastic form as he thwarted efforts by his former club to secure maximum points in the matchday 12 encounter.

Another former Rangers player, Elijah Ani, gave Rangers the lead in the game before Godwin Obaje equalised for the hosts.

Lobi Stars are top of the NPFL Group B table with 20 points from 11 games.
